Sri Lanka captain Lasith Malinga has backed his side's confidence to handle 'all the pressure' in the Twenty20 format as they are a 'happy unit' after winning the T20 World Cup, ahead of their sole T20 clash with England on Tuesday at The Oval.

Although Sri Lanka won their last group match before seeing off West Indies in a semi-final and defeating India in the final under the fast bowler, however, the side lost their only fixture of the tournament against England.

According to Sport24, however, Malinga is looking forward to maintaining his perfect record as captain in the match on Tuesday as he feels his men are a 'really happy unit' having won the T20 World Cup, adding that they are a young side looking forward to assessing these conditions as soon as possible.

However, Malinga admitted that the home conditions would favour England, which will take some confidence from a win that was a rare highlight during a wretched winter, adding that whichever side makes the fewest mistakes in the 40 overs will win the game.
