A member of Russia's Human Rights Council has said that one of the two suspects charged with the murder of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov confessed under pressure as he saw "numerous wounds" on his body that suggest he was tortured.
According to BBC, Andrei Babushkin has called for people who are not involved in the investigation to look into the claim.
The suspect named Zaur Dadayev said that he was tied up for two days with a bag over his head.
Dadayev also said that he confessed only to save a friend who was arrested with him.
Dadayev showed marks to a delegation that visited him in prison. There were scars around his legs caused by ropes.
