Manchester City is reportedly targeting a summer move for star Liverpool striker Luis Suarez as they gear up for Champions League football next term.
The Uruguayan has been in superb form this term and currently tops the Premier League's scoring charts with 25 strikes despite missing the first five games of the season through suspension.
According to the Mirror, even though Suarez signed a 200,000 pounds-a-week deal late last year with Liverpool, City feels that they can snare Suarez away from Anfield, and director of football Txiki Begiristain has reportedly held preliminary talks with the player.
The report mentioned that it is unlikely that Liverpool is willing to sell Suarez and City might have to bid upwards of 70 million pounds if they are serious about landing him.
However, the move would place Edin Dzeko's future in doubt at the Etihad, with Manuel Pellegrini said to be happy to listen to offers for the Bosnia international should Suarez make the sensational switch this summer, the report added.
