In an awkward turn of events, a man from Dublin had his penis in an erect position for seven weeks that resulted from an injury he sustained in a mountain bike accident.

The 22-year-old unidentified man did not seek treatment for his condition, known as priapism, until five weeks after the incident, the Mirror reported.

At the Tallaght Hospital, the young man's penis did not respond to doctors initial treatment, however, he was successfully treated the second time round.
