Manchester United first-team coach and former defender Phil Neville has said that the club has failed on the football pitch this season.
Neville said that the defending champions United, who currently stand at the seventh place in the Premier League table with five remaining games, have not fulfilled any level of expectation this season.
According to the BBC, Neville said that they are not hiding away from the fact that the club has under performed, adding that it has been difficult to watch other teams above United do well and to even look at a league table.
Neville also said that he finds it difficult to watch Match of the Day on Saturday night, adding that he finds it almost impossible because United has suffered this season.
Since 1991, the club has not finished outside the top three in the top flight, but boss David Moyes' squad has struggled this season with their FA Cup exit at home to Swansea City as well as six league defeats at Old Trafford, the report added.
