Man U overtake City as highest PL wage payers to players

Manchester United have surpassed local rivals Manchester City in the Premier League table in terms of salary paid to their players.

While Manchester United paid their players a total of 215.8 million pounds in salaries in 2013-14, City distributed 205 million as wages, Sport24 reported.

City came second in the list as they reduced their 2012-13 wage bill from 233.1 million pounds to 205 million pounds in 2013-14.

On the other hand, Burnley emerged as the lowest on the wage table, with spending just 21.5 million pounds as wages- one tenth of the top ranked Manchester United.
