Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is set on representing Belgium in international football.
Belgium national coach Marc Wilmots reportedly made the announcement on Twitter and said that he is delighted with Januzaj's decision to play for his international squad.
According to the BBC, Januzaj, who has been branded by Sir Alex Ferguson as a 'beautifully balanced player', will now be considered for Belgium's World Cup squad, with a 30-man provisional squad to be named on 13 May.
Januzaj, who joined United in 2011 after impressing Ferguson at youth level, still has to play international football at any level, but he had been reportedly invited to play for Kosovo in a friendly match in March.
Janauzaj, who joined United from RSC Anderlecht for a reported fee of 2,97,000 pounds, could have played for the England national team from 2018 if would have remained in the country.
Wilmots said that he wanted Januzaj, who made his full goalscoring debut after scoring both the goals for United in a 2-1 victory against Sunderland City on 5 October 2013, to play for Belgium.
Meanwhile, England boss Roy Hodgson admitted that he had been keeping an eye on Januzaj, whom he described as a 'real talent', the report added.
