A US man, who returned to life while he was getting prepared for his funeral after being declared dead, has passed away.

Coroner Dexter Howard said that Walter Williams died at his home in Lexington, USA, but did not reveal the cause, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Howard had previously said that when he went to collect the body of 78-year-old Williams, the latter had no pulse and was completely lifeless, but while he was transporting his corpse to the funeral home in a body bag, he noticed that the bag started moving in the embalming room.

Howard said that he was completely shocked because he had not seen anything like it in his life.

Howard believes that the only reasonable explanation to the miracle is Williams' defibrillator, implanted beneath the skin on his chest, that jump-started his heart.
