Manipur is running low on supplies after several trade organizations in Assam have declared an indefinite blockade to protest against the violence in the Golaghat district of Assam.
Over 1000 trucks, laden with essential goods, are stranded on NH-39, which connects Guwahati to Dimapur in Nagaland and Imphal. Most petrol pumps in Imphal too are shut, with fuel shortages.
The conflict between Assam and Nagaland has so far resulted in the deaths of 18 people.
