Manohar Lal Khattar to take oath as Haryana CM today

Manohar Lal Khattar will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana by Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki here on Sunday.

Preparations are currently underway for the oath taking ceremony in Panchkula's HUDA ground which will be reportedly attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other NDA leaders.

Sixty-year-old Khattar won the recent assembly elections from the Karnal seat and prior to that he was the Chairman of BJP's Haryana Election Campaign Committee for the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections.

He will be the first Chief Minister of Haryana belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Contesting the Haryana Assembly polls on its own for the first time, the BJP attained a majority by bagging 47 of the 90 assembly seats in the state.
