Maoists blow up Latehar railway tracks, derail train in Jharkhand

The train was attacked at around 2 am last night

A goods train was derailed by Maoists after they blew up a stretch of railway track between the Latehar and Bendi railway stations.

The train was attacked at around 2 a.m. last night.

Following the explosions, the Maoists passed by the railway driver and guard and chanted slogans against police officials.

A railway official said, "All the trains passing through the area have been stranded at their present stations. There is no estimated time as till when the tracks will be operational again. Machinery will be brought for repair.
