Maoists impose shutdown in Latehar in wake of leader's death

Maoists in Jharkhand's Latehar district on Saturday called for a shutdown to avenge the death of their leader Ashish Vigat.

The Maoists alleged that Vigat was killed in a false encounter by the police.

They warned that they would avenge the death of their leader.

All national highways leading to the district were empty due to the shutdown call.
