Maoists have reportedly killed two policemen in Odisha's Nuapada District.
A delayed report said that the attack took place near Datunama village in the Sunabeda Sanctuary on Friday, and added that among the deceased was a jawan (soldier) of the District Voluntary Force and one SPO. The policemen were returning to their base camp after a patrol.
The bodies of the victims have been recovered from the site. Police have intensified a search operation in the area to nab the culprits.
The attack took place in the backdrop ofrecent protests by villagers of the Sunabeda Santuary area who rose up in arms against the Maoists.
