Maria Bello has revealed that she is gay in a column for the New York Times, adding that she has been in a long-term relationship with her best female friend.
The 'Coyote Ugly' actress has shared the experience when she told her son the first time about her love life in the passage titled "Coming Out as a Modern Family", Us Magazine reported.
The 46-year-old actress has said that her 12-year-old son had been getting suspicious and wondered if she was hiding something from him.
Bello writes that this was the moment she had been anticipating and dreading for months and that she took a deep breath knowing that her son approval would have an impact on their lives for a long time.
She added that she told him the truth that she was with someone romantically which he was unaware of and that it was her best friend and his godmother.
