Mariah Carey has left longtime producer Jermaine Dupri and is now working with music industry veteran Kevin Liles after the disastrous sales of her recent record.
The 44-year-old American songwriter's representative said that Liles, who is the former president of her label Def Jam, is "consulting with Carey" but sources revealed that they may soon forge a deal, the New York Post reported.
Carey and Dupri had been working together since 1995 and had recently produced her latest album 'Me. I Am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse', which flopped miserably, selling just over 100,000 copies to date, which prompted her to part ways.
However, Dupri said that they enjoyed working together and will continue to make great music together in the future.
