Mars Mission success: Vice Prez Hamid Ansari, former PM Manmohan Singh congratulate ISRO

Vice President Hamid Ansari has congratulated the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientists and all others concerned with the Mangalyaan mission on the successful placement of Mangalyaan in the orbit of Mars.

"On this historical day, I extend my heartiest congratulations to the scientists at the Indian Space Research Organization and all others concerned with the Mangalyaan mission. The nation is proud of their achievement," said the Vice President Ansari.

"I am confident that our scientists will continue to scale greater heights and win more laurels for the country in the field of space exploration in the future. As we celebrate this landmark occasion, I join the entire country in saluting them on their success," he concluded.

 

Describing Mangalyaan's success as a moment of immense national pride, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told ANI, "It's a moment of immense national pride and one that shall go down as a significant mile stone. We take this opportunity to congratulate every single individual who has been associated with this program."

Earlier today Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee also extended their congratulatory messages to ISRO scientists for the successful mission.
