Mary Kom wins 48-51 kg boxing final to claim India's 7th gold in 2014 Asian Games

Indian boxing icon MC Mary Kom has bagged a gold in the women's 48-51 kilograms final in the Asian Games going on in Incheon, South Korea.

Kom defeated Kazakhstan's Zhaina Shekerbekova 3-1 in the Seonhak gym. She lost the first round to Shekerbekova but made a tremendous comeback to win the rest of the four rounds.

The five-time world boxing champion led India to the seventh gold in the 2014 Asian Games. Kom is the only woman boxer to have won a medal in each of the six world championships.

India currently stand on the 10th place in the Asian Games having bagged seven gold, eight silver and 32 bronze medals overall till now.
