Mass deworming programme for children begins in Delhi today

The third phase of the Delhi government's mass deworming programme, covering around 35 lakh children of government schools and Anganwadis, will begin in the capital on Thursday.

Under the programme, the students will be administered Albendazole tablets for deworming.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, who launched the programme at a school, said school-based deworming was simple, safe and cost-effective.
