At least four people have been rescued from a garment factory in Nagao area at Bhiwandi in Thane and around 150 others are feared to be trapped, as a major fire broke out inside the building today.
Six water tankers and ten fire tenders have been deployed at the spot, meanwhile more fire tenders have been rushed from Kalyan area.
According to the locals, the fire broke out at around 7 a.m.
Another incident of fire has been reported from the Kasimpura area of Bhiwandi, where a four storey residential building has caught fire.
No casualties have been reported so far.
