According to News.com.au, McDermott was the masterchef of meat and his wife Ann Maree prepared the salads as Australia's fast bowlers bonded in a relaxed setting ahead of Ashes battle.

McDermott revealed that he cooked the steaks and his wife prepared all the other bits and pieces, all the salads and everything else.
He added that he thought it was a good idea for the players to get together as a group because they needed to work together as a group.
McDermott has only recently returned as bowling coach but appears to have already made a big difference, the report said.
He gave the Aussie fast bowlers an early rocket at the Gabba for bowling too recklessly to England's openers, the report added.
