Matthew McConaughey's spiritual drama 'The Sea of Trees' has met with boos at its screening.
A portion of the audience at the French film festival waited until the credits rolled to express their disdain and "booed loudly," TMZ.com reported.
The 45-year-old actor plays a guy who is distraught over his wife's death and tries to off himself in a forest near Mt. Fuji.
Some of the critics say booing was unfair as the movie was good, but McConaughey kept his cool saying that "anyone has as much right to boo as they do to ovate.
