The stage is being laid out in Mauritius for the 11th World Hindi Conference, an event aimed at expanding the reach of the Hindi language at a global level.
In the wake of the mega event, to be hosted from August 18 to 20, the Ministry of External Affairs recently released the official logo of the event on social media, with a short teaser of the event.
The video depicts a peacock, the national bird of India, embracing the extinct flightless bird Dodo, which happens to be Mauritius' national bird. At the end of the video, the logo of the event appears, along with other details.
In April this year, the logo of the event and the website was launched by Mauritius' Education Minister Leela Devi Dookhun and India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
At the launch event, Swaraj said the conference was perceived as one to ensure that the Hindi language exists among the Indians living abroad.
