Australian swashbuckling batsman Glenn Maxwell has said that he doesn't like to be dubbed as 'The Big Show', adding that he prefers to get rid of the nickname in future.
Blaming fellow batsman David Warner for spreading it, Maxwell said that Matt Wade started calling me that in the first series he played in Dubai, adding that Warner, the annoying pest that he is, jumped all over it and just kept going with it, the Mirror reported.
Claiming that he had tried everything to get rid of the nickname, Maxwell added that he hadn't always backed it up with runs and big shots, and there had been a lot of big leaves and big misses.
A few of the boys mentioned it in media conferences, and once the media grabs hold of it, one couldn't really let go of it, but he would prefer to get rid of it, he added.
