BSP supremo Mayawati is the latest leader who will visit the family members of the teenage Dalit girls who were found hanging from a tree after being gangraped. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had also visited the parents of the deceased girls yesterday.

Speaking at a press conference, Mayawati said, "The family of Badaun rape victims wants justice, not compensation. Our party wants to help them get that justice."

Mayawati also said that as soon as the UP administration came to know about her plans to visit Badaun, it announced that a CBI inquiry will be launched into the gruesome crime. The former chief minister also made it clear that if the UP government, along with the Centre, does not take strict steps soon, then the BSP will soon do something about it.
