BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday said the Congress, Mayawati and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his father Mulayam Singh Yadav are the same and remain busy covering up for each other.

"Who saves Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) from CBI? Who saves behenji (Mayawati) from the CBI? It is the Congress. They all are the same and are busy covering for each other. They pretend to fight in Lucknow, and in Delhi, they reignite their friendship," said Modi, while addressing a rally in Faizabad.

"They all eat from the same plate which is served by madam (Sonia Gandhi). These people have looted the country and ruined it with their corruption. None of them is capable of removing corruption from the country, as they are all corrupt," he said.

"The fight for prime minister's post in the elections has ruined the country, it has created a chaos. Everyone is concerned only about themselves, be it father-son duo (Mulayam Singh Yadav and UP CM Akhilesh Yadav), behenji (Mayawati) or the mother-son duo (Congress President Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi)," he added.

He further said that betraying the people is in the nature of Congress.

"Betraying the people is the nature of Congress. They are always busy eating up the money of corruption. They had promised employment to crores of youth but no one got a job," Modi said.

"Faizabad should allow a lotus to bloom in the land of Shri Ram. I assure you from Bhagwan Ram's land, I will fight corruption throughout my life. I have seen poverty, that's why I have the courage to say this," he added.
