Floyd Mayweather has again defended his decision of choosing Andre Berto for his career's finale fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas this weekend.

The 38-year-old American boxer said that there was no need to create any fuss on his choice of Berto over former two-time world champion Amir Khan.

Maintaining that Berto is no different from Amir, Mayweather added that the former was not a pushover as both have been two-time world champions and have suffered three defeats, the Guardian reported.

Mayweather has found himself on the receiving end of the critics who accused him of picking an easy fight against Berto.

Earlier, Mayweather had declared that his game against Berto would be his last as a professional boxer and if he succeeds then he will equal former world heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0.
