Unbeaten US boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has said that he is looking forward to staging his first Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) show, but did not reveal when it would happen.
The boxing legend has claimed that he is planning to run his own mixed martial arts show in the near future. The two division boxing champion is the highest paid athlete in sport and pulled in a whopping 32 million dollars for his win over Marcos Maidana in September.
Conversely, MMA's top earner Georges St. Pierre made 12 million dollars in 2013 but the other top ten earning mixed martial arts fighters have earned less than 1 million dollars per fight, The Mirror reported.
Further down the pecking order, first-time UFC fighters can expect to earn as little as 8,000 dollars per fight.
The American boxer claimed that Mayweather Promotions is looking to sign MMA fighters and expand into the sport's promotion. He said that they believe in treating their boxers and MMA fighters fair.
Mayweather said that he looks forward to putting on his first MMA show and having him some MMA champions. He added that he loves to think outside the box and they are not just one-dimensional.

Mayweather also said that they are very versatile and have an open mind, adding that when he gets into the MMA game, he wants them to make more money than they're making because they're not being treated fair.
Mayweather is not the first to question the pay scale in MMA. Retired fighter Wanderlei 'The Axe Murderer' Silva recently took aim at the UFC and called for better fighter pay, the report added.
