"We have tried to find a solution to ongoing MCD strike. Will announce at 3 pm. Hope it satisfies everyone and the strike ends," Kejriwal tweeted.

Earlier today, the angry protestors blocked National Highway-24 leading to disruption in traffic movement.

They also raised slogans against the AAP Government and burnt Kejriwal's effigy during their protest.

Meanwhile, Municipal Corporation Doctor's Association has written a letter to Kejriwal, asking the Centre and AAP Government to bailout MCD from the financial crunch.

They are also likely to move the Delhi High Court, asking for their services to be transferred from MCD to Delhi Government.

The municipal employees have been protesting against the non-payment of salaries since last Wednesday, leading to a complete standstill of municipal services including sanitation, primary health and primary education.

The strike snowballed into a crisis on Monday when MCD school teachers also joined the agitation.
