Australian fast bowling legend Glenn McGrath believes that Josh Hazlewood's simple approach to bowling can help the towering paceman surpass his haul of 563 Test wickets.

McGrath said in his autobiography 'Test of Will' that the combination of his height and his simple bowling with the ability to swing the ball puts him in favour to flourish as the country's leading pace bowler.

The 45-year-old, who is a 'massive supporter' of the solid right arm paceman, heaped more praise on Hazlewood's simple approach, saying that he wouldn't have to undergo too much change or a complete revamp to unravel any problems, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

McGrath, however, asserted the fast bowler would have to work on his fitness level to stay longer at the top of their game.

The three-time World Cup winner further praised Hazlewood for showing incredible resolve in coming through a series of injuries in order to stay in the Test side.
