World number one golfer Rory McIlroy has revealed that he has a habit of jotting down his season's goals on the back of the boarding pass of his first flight every year.

However, the Northern Irishman did not disclose his goals for 2015. But one of his goals might be to grab a history-making win at Augusta National.

If McIlroy wins at The Masters in the second week of April he would put himself in the rare company of Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, Ben Hogan, Gary Player and Gene Sarazen as the only players to have achieved a career grand slam in the modern era, Sport24 reported.

McIlroy, who will begin his 2015 campaign at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship starting on Thursday, said that every year, he flies to Dubai to do a week or 10 days of prep before the Abu Dhabi Championship, which is usually his first tournament of the year.

He claimed that he writes his goals down on the back of his boarding pass, memorizes them, puts it in his wallet and doesn't look at them again until the end of the year.

The Northern Irishman added that in the wallet in his back pocket currently is a boarding pass with his goals for the year.

McIlroy insisted that he doesn't really want to share them with anyone else, adding that they are just his little goals and he would take out that boarding pass at year's end and see how well he has done.
