MEA appoints envoys to Bhutan and Brazil

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has appointed Gautam Bambawale as India's next ambassador to Bhutan.

Bambawale, a member of the 1984 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), is currently serving as joint secretary in the ministry.

The MEA has also appointed Sunil Kumar Lal as India's envoy to Brazil.

Lal, a member of the 1982 batch of the IFS, is currently serving as India's Ambassador in Spain.

Both will be taking up their new assignments over the next few days, an MEA release said.
