The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday rebutted media reports of denying clearance to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for China visit.
In response to a query about reports in some section of media that political clearance for Chief Minister of West Bengal to visit China has been denied, MEA spokesperson Gopal Baglay said that no reference for such clearance has been received and therefore, the question of denying it doesn't arise.
Mamata told media in April that China was interested in investing West Bengal and she may visit China in June on the invitation of the Communist Party of China.
