Medha aims to reach 5000 students till the financial year 2019

Medha, a non-profit organization with the aim to teach employability and life skills has marked eight years of success in training more than 12,000 (twelve thousand) students across India.

With the calibre and keen understanding of working aspect in offices, the students have been approached and selected by 300 hundred renowned companies for internship and jobs offers.

Medha better prepares youth for life after school. The organization provides 21st-century skills training, career counseling and workplace exposure, and ongoing job placement and alumni support to students at their existing educational institution. Medhais working to build an India with equal career opportunities for youth; irrespective of gender, class and cast.

 

Medha has set a target to reach out to 5000 students till the financial year 2019. Medha believes everyone has their own unique talent. Medha works with each student to help them discover their 'Medha' and use it to achieve their professional goals.

Medha proves to be a solution provider for the students struggling in the path of getting good degrees in colleges and even then wandering for jobs of their choice. Medha has improved employment, employability and life skills for its 7000+ alumni. Medha is currently working in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Meghalaya and Haryana. Medha is expanding to eight states over the next three years with the focus on the north and north-east.

Christopher Turillo, Medha's Co-founder said, "Nothing gives us more satisfaction than seeing our alumni pursue their passions. 'Medha' to us means discovering that unique ability and working hard to build a career around it. We are proud to have worked with over 12,000 students since 2011, and are excited to bring our program and approach to thousands more in the years to come," he added.

Medha was Founded by Christopher Turillo and Byomkesh Mishra in 2011. Medha is supported by leading global foundations and corporations such as Citigroup, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, and Bank of America. Along with his Co-founder Byomkesh, Chris was awarded the prestigious Echoing Green Global Fellowship in 2012 for his work at Medha.

Medha recently concluded its first Alumni Youth Festival 'Atrangi' in Lucknow. The festival was celebrated to recognise the power of youth as today's change makers and problem solvers. Over 1,000 participants came together from different parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to unleash their creativity, explore their entrepreneurial spirits, and display their unique skills to the world.
