A Mexican man had kept his girlfriend under a 'chastity lock' for the last 12-years fearing that she would be unfaithful to him.
According to CNN, the 40-year-old boyfriend, Jose Antonio 'N', of the 25-year-old woman had been locking her pants every morning ever since she started living with him, but last month she alerted the cops as she had to use the bathroom but was too afraid to cut her pants open, the Huffington Post reported.
The police officers found the victim alone at home but quickly tracked down Antonio and brought him into custody, where he confessed to having shut his girlfriend's pants with the metal lock.
According to El Universal, he was later released after he paid a fine for a separate and minor infraction, as the girlfriend, who has been living with him since the age of 13, refused to press charges against him.
However, the authorities forced the man, who lives in a rural area within the state of Veracruz, to sign a document stating he would not use the lock on the victim again.
