A Manchester United 'fanatic' supporter has reportedly turned his living room into a likeness of Old Trafford as he cannot afford a season ticket.
According to the Daily Star, engineer Daly Clarke has swapped his carpet for green turf, put in a goal and painted on touchlines in his living room in order to fight against the season ticket-hikes.
The report said that the room has become a favourite haunting ground for Clarke's United-loving friends, who often cram into the small room to watch their side on a flatscreen TV.
Stating that it was becoming impossible for him to have a season ticket at Old Trafford with the price touching 1,000 pounds, Clarke, who used Grono artificial grass to transform his living room, said that he decided to watch the match on the TV while turning his living room into a replica of the Old Trafford to regain the atmosphere.
According to Clarke, his living room is now the 'theatre of dreams', which his friends enjoy during match days, adding that they wear United kits to add to the atmosphere.
However, Clarke said that the only problem is his wife as she cannot stand football and tended to go out of the room whenever the game was on, although he added that sometimes she ended up pretending to support Manchester City to wind him up.
