A Sussex based hairdresser is planning to swap his scissors for a football as he is hoping to manage a Premier League club and has Tottenham Hotspur are the latest in his sights.

Football-themed 'Turnstyles' barber shop owner Rob Allbeury has announced that he wants to compete for the post of a manager in a league club by applying for around 100 managerial jobs, and Hotspur could be his next attraction.

According to Metro.co.uk, Allbeury said that he wants to try and claim real trophies after he guided Crawley Town to a number of virtual trophies as he honed his skills playing the Football Manager iPhone game.

Allbeury, who has already been rejected by Liverpool, Leeds United and Leicester, said that many clubs do not even bother sending a reply anymore.

Allbeury said that Wolverhampton Wanderers even sent him a grumpy letter suggesting that he should not waste their time, adding that it is all a bit of fun really.

However, if the hairdresser is given a chance to manage Tottenham, he plans to give the team 11 good haircuts to start with and go on from there.
