A woman in the US is looking forward to have a spinal surgery in order to stop her legs working and turn herself into a disabled person.
Chloe Jennings-White, who suffers from Body Integrity Identity Disorder- a rare psychological condition makes sufferers feel they want to be disabled, is so desperate to permanently live on a wheelchair for the rest of her life that she is willing to undergo a 25,000 operation, the Sun reported.
London-born Jennings-White stays in the US with her wife Danielle and lives as if she is a paraplegic despite being completely able-bodied and a passionate skier.
She told the publication that in 2010, she found an overseas doctor willing to cut her sciatic and femoral nerves, meaning she would lose all sensation in her legs, but at 16,000 pounds it was way beyond her means.
Jennings-White said that she had even tried to have accidents so she could lose the use of her legs and that her surgery dream would be "the happiest day of her life."
She also admitted she always wondered why she was born needing legs and the first time she sat in a wheelchair, she felt right.
