Mel Gibson sympathized with Shia La Beouf saying that his heart goes out to the poor guy after he was arrested for disrupting a Broadway show.
Speaking to Indiewire, the 58-year-old actor said that he was sure La Beouf was going through some kind of personal, very painful, cathartic thing that he had to exorcise and get out there and the 'Transformers' star probably played it out and came back, the Mirror reported.
Gibson said that people were inclined to sort of point the finger at La Beouf as it was easy to judge.
Gibson added that he had hopes for the star, and said that he will hopefully come back.
