Men earn double bonuses than women

Male managers receive bonuses that are double that of what women get, a study has revealed.

According to the study, of 43,000 managers, conducted by Chartered Management Institute (CMI), male managers' average extra payments were 6,442 pounds last year as compared to 3,029 pounds for women, the BBC reported.

The CMI said men's salaries were almost 25 percent higher than women's.

The study also showed that men will be earning 141,000 pounds more in bonuses over a lifetime.

At senior levels, the pay gap for both basic and bonuses, were higher.

Women directors' average bonus came out to be 36,270 pounds while men receive 63,700 pounds.
