Mercedes-Benz 2015 C-Class to have driverless technology for managing traffic jams

German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce a new feature, called "Stop and Go Pilot", in the 2015 C-Class sedan that could help in traffic jams.

The system will keep the car in its lane automatically, bring the car to a complete stop at slow speeds, then resume after a full stop, TechHive reports.

The new small sedan C-Class will be launched on December 16 and will have more new features like a touchpad that sits between the seats for controlling the touch screen display, and a unique air-freshness control feature.

This early report comes more than a month after the company mentioned a new "Traffic Sign Assist" feature to be added in C-Class to avoid over-speeding and entering no entry zone, which will likely be available only in Europe.
