Mexican police have reportedly arrested the alleged leader of the Juarez drug cartel, Vicente Carrillo Fuentes.
According to the Guardian, Carrillo Fuentes, 51, heads the cartel founded by his late brother, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, and Mexico had offered a reward of 30m pesos (2.2 million dollars) for his arrest.
Fuentes, who was detained in the northern city of Torreon, is popularly known as "The Viceroy" or "The General".
He took charge of the drug cartel after his brother Amado, nicknamed "The Lord of the Skies," died an unfortunate death in 1997 following a failed cosmetic surgery.
Fuentes carried a 5million dollar bounty on his head from US authorities.
Another bounty of about 2 million dollars was offered by Mexican prosecutors for information leading to his capture, the report said.
