Investigators have revealed that vital information has been retrieved from flight MH17's Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) despite it being damaged during the crash.

According to Sky News, the Dutch Safety Board, which is leading the MH17 probe, denied Ukraine's claim that the recorder was tampered with. After examination, the board confirmed that its memory module was intact.

It also added that an in-depth analysis of the retrieved data will take time.

The international team of investigators will start examining MH17's Flight Data Recorder (FDR) on Friday, the report added.
