According to the CEO of Emirates airline Tim Clark, Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 crash could have been prevented if airlines had been informed about the missiles in eastern Ukraine.
According to the Independent, Clark said that there was evidence of weapons in the area for weeks and many carriers knew about it as they had been avoiding the area.
However, the information was not shared with other airlines that were flying across Ukraine, said Clark.
He also suggested that if the airlines had been alerted about it, the MH17 crash could have been avoided and the passengers and crew members could have been saved.
Tim Clark's comments came after a report was published last week that mentioned that there were three other jets flying in the nearby airspace.
