The phones of MH17 victims were answered when the distressed relatives called on their mobile phones, say reports.

The belonging of the victims had been allegedly stolen from the crash site.

According to reports, when the phones were answered, the relatives could hear some Eastern European sounding voices.

There were reports that people had stolen debit and credit cards, cameras, jewellery and wallets of the victims.

Many countries claimed that pro-Russian separatists in the Eastern Ukraine had not kept the site safe.

The separatists were accused of stealing the belongings, reports new.com.au.
