The hunt for missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 faced another setback after investigators admitted that they may be searching the wrong part of the Indian Ocean.

According to the Daily Star, investigators earlier said that they would soon find the debris.

After the publication of the shocking report, experts from across the globe may have to scrap 23,000 square kilometre search area.

Australian Transportation Bureau experts think that the plane may have drowned into the Indian Ocean following a lack of fuel.

The latest analysis on the missing flight indicates that the search should be prioritized in the southern part of the Indian Ocean for the next phase of investigation.

Flight MH370 has been missing since the early hours of March 8, when it left Kuala Lumpur for Beijing with 239 passengers and crew on board.
