The missing Malaysia Airlines plane MH370 has not crashed but may have landed somewhere.
As the search for the plane entered 45th day, the New Straits Times in a front page report quoted members of the International Investigation Team (IIT) based in Kuala Lumpur who said they were thinking of starting right from the beginning to solve the mystery.
Another media outlet, Malaysiankini, said that the plane might have landed elsewhere than the Southern Indian Ocean.
The claim was earlier made by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in a press conference last month, which is now under consideration.
An official said that they would consider the possibility of the plane being elsewhere and not the Indian Ocean if no positive signs are seen in the next few days.
He added that the thought of the plane landing elsewhere is possible as not a single piece of debris have been found.
According to the report, the IIT is also looking into increasing more assets to be deployed to the existing search area in the Indian Ocean, and widening the search area as it fears the search team is 'looking for the plane in the wrong place'.
