Former Liverpool striker has reportedly saluted Luis Suarez for getting rid of his bad-boy behaviour and is of the opinion that the striker is now Premier League's best player since Thierry Henry.
The former English footballer is reportedly of the opinion that after curbing his on-field antics, Suarez is as influential as Arsenal's talisman Henry and has backed the striker to be the difference in Liverpool's titanic title clash against Manchester City.
According to the Mirror, Owen said that Suarez has been the best player in the Premier League this season, adding that he has not seen anything that good since Henry was playing in the Premier League.
Owen also said that it is important to mention that Suarez has been absolutely exemplary this season and his discipline has been great.
Owen also gave full credit to Liverpool for giving the striker the stage to perform the way he does and said that although Suarez does not have Henry's pace, Alan Shearer's aerial ability or Didier Drogba's brute force, but he really is a unique player.
The Uruguayan has reportedly scored 29 goals so far in the Premier League this season, which has made him the bookies' favourite to be named PFA Player of the Year later this month.
Suarez will be a key figure in Liverpool's match against Manchester City on Sunday, as the winner at Anfield will have a major advantage in the most open title race for years, the report added.
