Former England striker Michael Owen has backed Liverpool to win the Premier League title and said that their firepower provides them with a great chance.
Owen said that he would love to see Liverpool win the title adding that he feels they will win because the title race is still a close call with no degree of certainty.
The former Liverpool striker said that the club has won a lot of admirers to become people's second team because of the way they play, capturing people's imagination to watch one of the heavyweights of world football back in business, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Owen further added that he knew so many people who are season-ticket holders at Liverpool and are saying that it is just so nice to go to Anfield and see a 'feast of football' again.
Owen also said that it is romantic, as Liverpool is like an old dethroned champion boxer who is now on a comeback adding that the majority of neutral fans are pulling in Liverpool's direction.
Although Owen said that Manchester City has the best team, but Liverpool look unbeatable at home and they have to play both City and Chelsea at Anfield.

The former England International also said that Liverpool is 'blowing away' teams at their home ground, adding that it is the best atmosphere there, which he has known in decades.
Owen said that if he had to put his neck on the block, he would say that Liverpool will win the two home games and that gives them an excellent chance of lifting the title, the report added.
