Microland on Monday announced the launch of its new digital operations and delivery center in Pune.
Located in Blue Ridge SEZ, Hinjewadi, the 50,000 square feet facility can seat up to 1,000 employees.
The center will deliver best in class IT services to global customers and will also serve as the company's business continuity alternative.
With the opening of this center, Microland now has six Digital Operation Centers (DOCs) globally, including the one recently launched in Atlanta, US.
"This year has been an extraordinary year of growth for Microland and there are clear indications that we need to expand the capacity of our DOCs. Pune, being the hub of technology innovation, is an ideal location given the company's focus on developing NextGen service offerings like Software Defined WAN and Cloud Management Platform (CMP). The new investment represents our focus in continuing to build India as a destination of choice for many of our client operations," said founder, chairman and MD, Microland, Pradeep Kar.
"Having set up well-established DOC in Bangalore, we wanted to expand our geographic spread. Pune is fast emerging as an IT hub and is a preferred destination for strategic reasons. The city provides numerous opportunities across industries, access to an extraordinary talent pool and great infrastructure that meets our goals to serve the ever-growing demands of our customers," added SVP, global operations, Microland, Muktesh Kulkarni.
With a focus on enabling digital transformation for global customers, the company plans to launch a few other global operation centers in the coming months.
