Microsoft has unveiled new features in an update for its OneDrive, a cloud storage platform.

According to The Next Web, Microsoft new feature 'Add to my OneDrive' folder makes it easier to view and modify files

Earlier, the users could only access the content shared with them by browsing through the 'Shared' list on OneDrive.com.

The new feature allows the users to add shared files to their primary OneDrive folder so changes can be synced across their Mac or PC device. Also, the users can edit shared files on mobile devices via the OneDrive mobile app.

The OneDrive app will now send a notification on mobile device, when a document is being edited, as well as who is making the changes. Microsoft will also send out a daily summary of edits to shared files to the user's email.

In addition, Microsoft is extending search capabilities for shared files as well. The users will now be able to find a shared document by the text contained in it. Earlier, this ability was limited to the users own files.
